Die Einladung zu Sabines Hochzeit

Kieron öffnet den Brief, den er gerade aus dem Postkasten genommen hat.

„Oh, eine Einladung zur Hochzeit!“ denkt er.

Er steigt die Treppe hinauf und liest weiter.

Sabine und Christian laden zur Hochzeit am 6. July ein.

„Hast du auch eine bekommen?“ fragt er Elaine am Telefon.

„Eine was?“ fragt Elaine verwundert.

„Eine Einladung zu Sabines und Christians Hochzeit!“ wiederholt Kieron.

Elaine, die gerade im Hausflur steht, schaut in den Briefkasten.

„Ja, ich hab auch eine!“ sagt sie und zieht den goldenen Umschlag aus dem Briefkasten.

Kieron überlegt und fragt dann mutig: „Gehen wir zusammen?“

„Na klar Kieron! Du bist doch mein bester Freund!“

Kieron schluckt. Glücklich ist er mit dieser Antwort nicht.

„Super!“ sagt er dennoch und freut sich für Sabine und Christian.

Invitation to Sabine’s Wedding

Kieron opens the letter he just took out of the mail box.

“Oh, a wedding invite!” he thinks.

He climbs the stairs and keeps reading.

Sabine and Christian are inviting him to their wedding on the 6^th July.

“Did you get one, too?” he asks Elaine on the phone.

“A what?” asks Elaine astonished.

“An invitation to Sabine’s and Christian’s wedding!” repeats Kieron.

Elaine who is in the entrance hall looks into the post box.

“Yes, I have one, too!” says Elaine and pulls a golden envelope out of the post box.

Kieron is thinking and asks then courageously: “Will we go together?”

“Sure Kieron! Are you not my best friend?”

Kieron swallows. He is not happy with this answer.

“Excellent!” he says never less and is happy for Sabine and Christian.
